I am always curious about the social and personal context of my subjects. The photos and stories can exist independently of each other but are also connected to each other based on my deep interest in what motivates people to shape their existence.
I like to serve you with a portrait or a story. In that case I take care of the research, recordings in image and sound and editing. In my films I like to involve third parties such as residents of neighborhoods or professionals in order to paint a clear picture of an environment or development through accurate observation. Through image and sound I am able to provide insight into large-scale and long-term operations.
In addition to my commissioned work, I make a lot of autonomous work. I show that and publish it at home and abroad. I give the model all the space it needs in my portraits and nudes. I offer a platform on which you can move freely as a model. I direct with an eye for detail and always based on what I see happening. A “beautiful” photo is not necessarily smoothed out, I cherish imperfection and the guts to show it. All prints are available in limited editions.
I move in different areas and in different layers of society. It is no coincidence that my portfolio ranges from the Homeless newspaper to Vogue Italia.
I have been photographing for many years in AZCs (asylum seekers’ centers).
Being displaced, finding a place where you can ground has my special attention because it personally affects me.
In Trebinje (Bosnia Herzegovina) I organized photo projects with friends and colleagues. Photography is a very useful medium for bringing population groups (renewed) into contact with each other. In the city I photographed residents and former residents who returned to their place after the war.
